A Love Story

Some of my favorite photos are the ones that come from a random idea that ends up working even better than expected.

For this session, we brought out a simple garden hose and turned an open field into something that felt completely different. What started as a warm summer evening quickly became playful, messy, and full of genuine moments. There was no pressure to stand perfectly or force a pose. They laughed, got soaked, and just enjoyed being together.

This image is one of my favorites from the entire session. The water falling between them creates a soft, almost dreamlike feeling while still keeping the focus exactly where it belongs. It’s not about perfect smiles or looking directly at the camera. It’s about the way they naturally gravitated toward each other and forgot I was even there.

Those are the moments I always find myself chasing as a photographer.

Anyone can stand in front of a camera and smile, but the photos that mean the most years later are usually the ones that remind you how a moment felt. The way someone looked at you. The laughter you didn’t plan. The little in between moments that happen when you’re simply being yourselves.

This session was proof that you don’t need an elaborate location or a complicated setup to create something memorable. Sometimes all it takes is a summer evening, a garden hose, and two people who are completely comfortable being together.

These are the kinds of stories I love documenting because they’re real, a little imperfect, and completely unique to the people in front of my camera.

And honestly, those are always the photos that end up meaning the most. ❤️
