Why I Fell in Love with Film Photography
In a world that moves fast and filters everything, film slows things down and tells the truth.
When I first picked up a roll of 35mm film, I didn’t expect it to change how I see photography. But something about the grain, the warmth, the way the light hits the frame—it made me feel. Film doesn’t chase perfection. It captures presence. It’s raw, emotional, and beautifully imperfect and that’s what makes it magic.
There’s a Story in Every Roll
With film, you only get a limited number of shots. That means I shoot slower, with more intention. I wait for the laugh, the glance, the unspoken moment and that’s what gets frozen forever.
Each image feels like it could’ve been pulled from a memory.
And the best part? I personally develop my own 35mm rolls. Every frame is scanned by hand, making the process from start to finish feel deeply personal. It’s more than photography it’s about the craft.
🎞️ What About Super 8?
I’ve also started exploring Super 8 film—a dreamy, vintage video format that feels like a moving time capsule. These tiny reels hold about 3 minutes of footage and are professionally processed to keep that iconic retro vibe alive. I’m still learning and practicing, but I can’t wait to offer it soon. If you’ve ever wanted your love story or family memories to feel like a movie, this will be for you.
For the Dreamers, the Sentimental, the Nostalgic
Film isn’t for everyone and that’s what I love about it. It’s for the people who want to feel something when they look back. Who don’t need perfection, just realness.
If that’s you, you’re my kind of client.
Film is heart.
It’s art.
And it’s now part of the experience I’m proud to offer.
